How awesome is this?! I remember watching the original show for years and loving it. Now I actually get to be here and be part of the planning around bringing it back to life. Pop Up Video is going to be awesome.
I’d love to pose a question to everyone - what do you think would be fun and cool ways to have videos from the new incarnation live online? How would you expect to interact with them? I hear social media is big these days… how should new digital trends affect the way you experience Pop Up Video online?
This article nails the problem on the head in a more clear way than I’ve ever seen before. I have been saying this for years…
the effort to market and sell these world-class products is grossly inferior to the level of effort that went into creating them.

Yesterday, in the Rod and Gun Club of Maynard, Massachusetts, after an intensive 5 hour class, I took the following oath and thus became an official, certified judge in the world of competitive BBQ:
I do solemnly swear to objectively and subjectively evaluate each Barbeque meat that is presented to my eyes, my nose, my hands and my palate. I accept my duty to be an Official KCBS Certified Judge, so that truth, justice, excellence in Barbeque and the American Way of Life may be strengthened and preserved forever.
I couldn’t be happier with my new title, CBJ, and am excited to judge my first BBQ competition. Unfortunately, no pictures are allowed to be taken during the class, so I don’t have any to share. If you’re interested in becoming a CBJ as well, check out this page by the Kansas City BBQ Society.
